I had my first experience with Physical Therapy while I was in high school and had the opportunity of shadowing several different career paths in the medical field. I was immediately drawn into the professional of PT with each new patient I met. While observing the treatment sessions, patients stated how thankful they were for their therapist and how physical therapy has improved their way of life. To further my knowledge and decision, I observed a variety of settings, including: a hospital, Parkinson’s support group, home care, pediatric out-patient and other outpatient facilities. It was clear to me that choosing this field would be rewarding and the right choice for life. I have always enjoyed studying body mechanics and proper movement patterns and look forward to passing on the education to my patients.
I had the pleasure of being placed within a HealthQuest for clinical rotation in school. I gained additional knowledge and techniques to increase my skills as a clinician. The environment was warm and welcoming and so were the patients. I enjoyed hearing about each unique story and witnessing their successful outcomes. HealthQuest is involved in their communities and upholds a positive reputation, which is why I am honored to be part of a team that allows me to grow and develop as a clinical in helping others live well.
