Biography:
Jim Storhok began his journey in healthcare in Mt. Pleasant, MI at Central Michigan University through the study of sports medicine/athletic training from 1998-2002, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Through his love of sports and helping the injured athlete, he was able to treat collegiate athletes in a variety of sports settings, including football, field hockey, softball, and baseball.

After graduation, Jim had the opportunity to work along side 10 orthopedic surgeons in St. Clair Shores, MI at Associated Orthopedists of Detroit, P.C. as an athletic trainer, (2002-2004) working as a medical assistant, instructing patients with home exercises, working along side the orthotist with casting and bracing, as well as assisting in the physical therapy department. He was able to obtain invaluable insight working with orthopedic surgeons day in and day out, and really saw orthopedic injury through a different lens. He was also able to get more on the field experience as Head Athletic Trainer at Southfield Lathrup High School in Southfield, MI in 2004 prior to starting his graduate studies.

Jim obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University in 2007. He has worked as a staff physical therapist at a busy orthopedic physical therapy practice in Troy, MI, overseeing a large staff from 2007-2016, prior to starting with HealthQuest Physical Therapy and Medical Fitness in Oxford. He has been a clinical instructor for Physical Therapist Assistants for 6 years, and has been responsible for the training of support staff.

Jim has a passion for learning and growing, including development as a husband and a father. He enjoys reading in both leadership as well as personal development and has read over 150 books in these areas over the past 4 years. Jim is married with two children, and currently resides in Oxford, MI.
