Biography:
I played competitive sports my entire childhood and up through high school, and was relatively healthy throughout the time. My senior year of high school I hurt my hip during track season, and went to the doctor to see what I could do to help it. I got a script for PT and was blown away with how much better I felt in what seemed like no time. I had known that I wanted to do something in the health care field for a long time, and my experience in PT made my choice for me.

I was blessed with some very skilled and knowledgeable professors at NIU who have served as mentors over the last few years and helped me determine how I want to practice. I also became friends with some people in PT school with similar interests but different perspectives as myself. During our clinical rotations in PT school and as we have all started our careers, we’ve been able to bounce ideas off of each other which has really helped with my clinical reasoning and considering things I would not have initially thought of.

My family is from Aurora, Illinois (which is Illinois’ second largest city and where the movie Wayne’s World takes place). I have a twin brother, Michael, who is also a PT and works in Illinois. It was always nice during school to have a study buddy on the same schedule as me. My entire family has always been very supportive, and for that I am thankful.

I first heard about HealthQuest from my grandma, who was a patient at the Oxford location. She has had good experiences every time she was a patient and spoke very highly of the therapists she worked with. I was able to set up my last clinical rotation for school with HealthQuest, was offered a job at the end of my rotation, and the rest is history. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to start my PT career at HealthQuest!
