I was one of those people who was lucky enough to make the right guess when I was graduating high school and trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I knew that I loved science and was always intrigued with the human body and how it all worked. I did some homework and looked at some of the professions that I thought fit my interests. I thought that being a physical therapist sounded perfect.  I went to PT school at Oakland University and to this day can’t think of a better occupation. I still love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything different.

After my first few years of getting experience and learning the basics of the profession, I started on a course of specialization in orthopedic physical therapy. I went through the OMPT (Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy) program. It was a great experience. Very intense learning with some of the most respected leaders of orthopedic physical therapy in the world.   People like Olaf Evejnth and Freddie Kaltenborn were my actual teachers. I still marvel at the fact that I was lucky enough to spend many hours in the classroom being taught by the worlds premier manual therapists.

After  I finished my OMPT training, I went through the Masters in Science in Orthopedic at Oakland University , finishing it in 2000.

I feel so fortunate to have made the choices that I did when I was just a high school senior.  I love the career that I have and still have the same enthusiasm and interest in it as I did the day that I first started practicing.  If I went back to start again, with the knowledge that I now have, I would not change one thing.

I am also very fortunate to have a wonderful family. My wife Wilma, my boys  Jacob and Brandon are my other passion. I have had such a blast watching my boys grow into the great young men that they are today.  I am very proud of both of them. I have coached baseball with them for many years and will continue to do so until they hit high school

When not with my family or at work, I enjoy reading, working out at the gym and bike riding as well as woodworking. I also enjoy doing community service such as volunteering at the schools and helping with their athletic programs.
