My journey with physical therapy began in early 2011 when I was a senior football player playing middle linebacker and attending Walled Lake Northern high school. I ended up injuring my knee in the first home game of that year and required surgery in the weeks following the initial incident. Although I ended up having to sit the rest of the year, my mindset shifted from being prepared for my team’s football season and more towards what I wanted to achieve in life and the future. From this moment on I have focused my college studies and extracurricular pursuits towards building my understanding of human movement and performance. Throughout my early development as a licensed physical therapist I have always pursued educational opportunities and avenues to better help my patients while also providing the highest quality of care.
I was recently married in early September 2020 to my high school sweetheart and the love of my life. We first met in high school while enrolled in driver’s education, but we continued our relationship for many years throughout our time at Michigan State University together. We love attending MSU home football games and various Detroit team sports including Tigers, Lions, and Pistons games. We also enjoy spending our time while not working outside engaging in various activities like walking, running, and hiking. Additionally, I grew up in the lakes area and actively participate in watersports like waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kayaking as often as I can. I also actively progress resistance training programs for myself and my family in order to help us achieve all of our personal health and wellness goals.
I was fortunate enough to begin my career with HealthQuest in 2020 due to the alignment of our treatment principles and the numerous opportunities to grow within the HealthQuest system as a physical therapist. I truly believe that my ability to empathize with those who are in pain or have recently lost some degree of function provides benefit to my patients because I have been through those situations myself. I am so passionate about pushing this profession forward in terms of evidence-based practice, community outreach, and group-based activity classes, so I hope to bring an ever-adapting and patient-first mindset to the HealthQuest rehabilitation team.
