I have been interested in health, wellness and fitness since I was a little girl and would go on bike rides, runs, and trips to the gym with my dad. I was involved in all kinds of sports including track and field, soccer, dance and cheerleading from the time I could walk. I have participated in many races and competitions and luckily have yet to seriously injure myself. I didn’t become a physical therapist because I’ve been through therapy before, but because I can’t imagine being unable to participate in the things I love to do.
I want to be the person who helps you get back on your feet and motivates you to succeed in reaching your goals. I became a personal trainer when living in Grand Rapids prior to beginning graduate school. I was inspired by my clients who demonstrated determination, drive, and inner strength because they truly wanted to make a change in their lives. I was honored to be part of their journey in helping them achieve their fitness goals and know that as a physical therapist I can affect people in a similar way.
Today, I find myself with less time for organized sports and more time to get out for a run or strength train in the gym with my husband, John. We have been married for just over 2 years and are currently searching for our first home together!
I have multiple family members who have been treated by physical therapists from HealthQuest and they had nothing but good things to say. I was drawn to this company because of their connection with the community and their philosophy to care for the whole person not only during their time in physical therapy but beyond.
