Romeo High School Athletic Trainer
I grew up locally on a small farm in Almont with my parents and younger brother. My father was a Fire Chief/paramedic my entire life so I always had a love for helping others. When I learned what Athletic Training was I immediately knew it was what I wanted to do.
In college, I had the opportunity to work with Central Michigan sports teams such as football, baseball, gymnastics, and with the team physician. I did time in the Emergency Room, physical therapy clinic, and at local high schools. I had the opportunity to spend a summer working with an orthopedic surgeon and with the Lansing Lugnuts’ Athletic Trainer. I completed an internship with my mentor at Bloomfield Hills High School before accepting the Romeo ATC position.
I’m passionate about promoting the field of Athletic Training and telling people how we are healthcare professionals who are trained and licensed in preventative, emergent, diagnostic, and post-injury care of the traditional and non traditional athletic population in all different settings (ex. sports, X-Games, bullriding, performing arts, industrial, clinical). I also strongly stand for ATCs being in every high school for the safety of all athletes
