Biography:
My interests in Physical Therapy started when I had injured myself playing basketball in high school. I took a trip down to see the athletic trainer to see exactly what I needed to do to get back to sports and I had immediately taken interest in rehabilitation. I have always had an avid interest in making a difference in people’s lives, and I knew I never wanted to work in a cubical. I decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy at Oakland University.
During my five years at Oakland University, I also had the opportunity to work as a technician for HealthQuest Physical Therapy. It was here that I solidified my mind on a career in Physical Therapy. Within two years of working as a tech, I wanted to take my career a step further and I became a personal trainer for FitnessQuest. Within one year, I was then promoted to the Medical Fitness Director for the Macomb FitnessQuest location.
Once I graduated from Oakland University with my Bachelor’s degree, I was accepted into the accelerated program at Baker College to obtain my PTA degree. After having to take a year away from work due to school, I was offered a job to begin my career as a PTA at HealthQuest Macomb. I look forward to rehabilitating, motivating and inspiring individuals in the outpatient orthopedic setting.
