I took an unconventional path to the physical therapy profession. In order to live with my brother as a freshman at CMU, I chose pre-PT due to the heavy science courses required for PT school. I elected to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training but kept the dream of becoming a PT close to me. Taking 3 years away to work as an athletic trainer was invaluable. I was able to move out-of-state and gained an excellent mentorship from 2 PTs and developed an autonomous practice as a head athletic trainer at a high school.
Throughout the years, I have developed a passion for fitness and am driven by the pursuit of optimal physical fitness in both my own life and with my patients. There is nothing more fulfilling than hearing that patients are able to do the things they love and you were able to be a big part in their recovery and restoration of optimal physical wellness. Another large aspect of my PT practice is applying athletic training knowledge to assisting patients in the final stages of rehabilitation as they transition from a clinical setting to their “field of performance”, whether it be the football field or the workplace.
I am married (2019) to my wonderful wife, Megan, who also works in the rehab field as a speech-language pathologist in a skilled nursing facility in Mt. Clemens. We have a cat, Oakley, and reside in Sterling Heights, MI.
I am thrilled to (re)-begin my career as a physical therapist with Mike Pizzimenti and his excellent staff at West Bloomfield, learning both the best clinical skills and business applications for a successful PT practice. My goal is to achieve an advanced certification and explore opportunities within HealthQuest to own or direct a clinic in the future.
