After sustaining a sports injury in 2012, I became interested in the field of Physical Therapy. I decided to become a Physical Therapy Technician to test the sustainability of this interest. I had the privilege to work for very hands-on therapists such as David Fausone and Nicole Tallmadge. Both of which specialized in outpatient orthopedic surgical recovery and practice in Port Huron. I saw the potential impact that I could have on clients. I would be able to help them live with less pain and return to prior levels of functioning.

I decided to attend PTA school at Baker College of Owosso in 2018 and continue my education in this field. I earned an Associates of Applied Sciences in 2020. I plan on returning to school to pursue my bachelor’s degree in this field, to ultimately pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and be a lifelong learner in the field of PT.

As much of my experience was gained as a Technician at an outpatient orthopedic setting, I always planned to return to where my interest first blossomed into a potential career. I feel grateful that I will be able to take all of the knowledge gained from the orthopedic setting, my clinical rotations such as neurological rehabilitation, and apply them at HealthQuest. I look forward to growing as a clinician, helping all clientele reduce pain, and allow a return to higher-level physical function.
