I always say that I took the scenic route to find my path in the world of physical therapy. My mom said I should go into a career in physical therapy, but of course I did not listen. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree and still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. No pressure. I began working with children and young adults that had traumatic brain injuries. It was at that time that I was closely exposed to the therapeutic world and could imagine myself in this career.

Around 2015, I decided to jump into the therapy world and began my new adventure as a rehabilitation technician at an outpatient clinic while enrolling in an accelerated PTA program. That is when my passion truly came to life. Of course, I should have just listened to my mom! They ARE always right, after-all!  But we all have to take our own journey, and rather than settling, I needed to find out on my own.

In terms of my family, I have a small family that is just my mom (Kathy), my dad (Scott), my older sister (Lauren), and her husband (Dave). I am the “black sheep” of the family as everyone has found a career in the business world. Despite our career differences we have traveled the world together and have created some amazing memories. In fact, my sister and I are reigning beach bocce ball champions in Jamaica!

Serendipity. That was the word that was texted to me when I reached out regarding an opportunity at HealthQuest. This particular word has stuck in my head. I am a huge believer that everything happens for a reason and I know that I found my second family with a company that holds the same values as I do. I am so excited for the opportunity to learn and grow as a clinician with my HealthQuest Family.
