Like many physical therapists, my first introduction to physical therapy occurred after sustaining an injury that required PT. While attending Central Michigan University, I spent a lot of time in the training room and PT department recovering from injuries which led me to pursue a career in sports medicine/physical therapy. I received a sports medicine degree from Central Michigan University in 1989 and then a Physical Therapy degree from Wayne State University in 1993. I have had the pleasure of working in multiple types of settings throughout my career and have treated a wide variety of patients, from professional and collegiate athletes to geriatric and acute hospital care patients. My approach to therapy is to treat the body as a whole, not just an individual injury. HealthQuest also maintains this philosophy of treating the body as a whole and I knew continuing my career with HQ was going to be a perfect fit. In 2021 that perfect fit became reality. I have known many of the Physical Therapists at HealthQuest for most of my 30-year career and am glad to become a part of such an exceptional team.
