I worked as a medical receptionist for over a decade at different medical facilities: massage therapy, rehab hospital, ER, outpatient clinic. I wanted something more hands-on in the medical field. My previous boss saw I already had a passion for PT and knew I had my PT Tech certification so she encouraged me to pursue a degree and licensure in PT. Married since 2017, with 3 beautiful daughters, I have worked with several gynecologists. Not one of them suggested pelvic floor therapy or general physical therapy intervention when I was recovering from labor and delivery. I am very passionate about the need for pelvic floor and women’s health physical therapy. As well as the benefits of early PT intervention, such as in pediatrics. Early PT intervention sets individuals up for future mobility success.
