I started at CMU with the intended major of computer science fall of 1995, but after taking my first year of classes I realized that career was not for me. I started taking classes the university requires regardless of major and ones I thought would be interesting that I could fit in. I took human anatomy as I had anatomy and physiology in high school and enjoyed it. In that class, I happened to sit next to someone going into Athletic Training. After talking with them about it, I took the first class that next semester, and here I am 22 years later still doing it. I worked for MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland right out of college (2001) and was there through 2010 providing Athletic Training services to Dow High School. I left that job and started with Consumers Energy providing Industrial Athletic Training services to their employees in the Saginaw Bay region in 2011. During this, I met my now wife. We married in July 2016 and I moved down here to Waterford where I have been the Athletic Trainer for Avondale High School ever since. My wife (Katie) and I have 4-year-old twins Erica and Liam. I am very active and physically fit. I enjoy biking, running, and weight lifting and do at least one of those five days a week.
