My first interaction with a Physical Therapist came when I was about 6 or 7 years old; my grandma had just had major surgery and was staying with my family while she recovered. This meant that the homecare PT would come to our house to get her moving. I remember getting excited when they would come because I enjoyed doing the exercises with my grandma. I’d be lying if I told you that 6-year-old me knew that I wanted to become a PT someday.

Over the next 10 years or so of my life, I spent most of my free time involved with athletics, competing in cross country, basketball, and track during my high school years. It was my high school cross country coach, who was a PT by day, that re-sparked my interest in the field. After doing some shadowing and researching more about the profession, I realized it was the perfect fit for me. I would get to combine my love for science and movement while helping people live their lives better. By the time I was a senior in high school, I was sold on the idea and never looked back. I attended Wayne State University for undergraduate and graduate school, where I was blessed with the opportunity to run cross country and track. During my time in school, I began teching for HealthQuest, first at their St. Clair Shores location and then in Beverly Hills. I am now extremely excited to rejoin the HealthQuest team, this time as a PT in Commerce!

In my spare time, I enjoy running (I am currently training to run the Boston Marathon in 2023), playing basketball, golf, pickleball, or just about any sport, and spending time with my friends and rather large family (I have 7 siblings and 2 wonderful parents).
