My interest in physical therapy began as a young athlete. Growing up I was a competitive gymnast. My interest in gymnastics continued into adulthood where I coached at a variety of different levels. Being active I experienced my share of injuries. I was able to see firsthand how important physical therapy and proper rehabilitation is, from my own perspective, as well as the athletes I trained.
I graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 with a BA in Communications and Baker College in 2014 with Associates in Physical Therapist Assistant. Since graduating, I joined the HealthQuest team and have really enjoyed the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients. I am passionate about rehabilitating young athletes and helping them return to their sports, but I also enjoy working with patients of all ages and injuries. Helping a person achieve their goals is a very rewarding experience.
I have a son and a daughter. In my sparetime, you’ll find me with my husband enjoying outside and being active (hiking, kayaking, biking). I really enjoy physical fitness. Most mornings you will find me working out at the gym before I come to work. I also love Michigan State football, basketball, Detroit Tiger baseball, and traveling with my family and friends.
