After high school, I pursued a career in social work. Upon receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 I continued to work in social services for ten years. I learned a great deal about being involved in the community and being an advocate for those less fortunate. I have always enjoyed giving back to the community and promoting wellness.  After all those years I started to research how I could apply my skills and experience in the healthcare field.

I began the PTA program at Macomb Community College and was eager to learn as much as possible. I left my full-time work in social services to put all my focus and attention on my coursework.  I graduated with honors and made many new friends along the way. Soon after starting the PTA program I started employment as a physical therapy technician at HealthQuest Macomb West. This allowed me a great opportunity to gain clinical experience while completing my studies. Anthony Morelli and Tori Gasperoni at Macomb West have been fantastic mentors and have taught me so much along the way. I feel so blessed to be a part of the HealthQuest Physical Therapy team and consider them family. Once I started the journey to a career in physical therapy I never looked back! It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life.

I was raised in Douglass, KS and moved to Michigan with my husband five years ago. We have two amazing children together, Hunter and Kayleigh. Hunter loves playing baseball, martial arts, and swimming. Kayleigh will start preschool this fall and enjoys gymnastics and dancing. We enjoy taking family vacations to visit my family in Kansas and camping at Kelleys Island.  We also have a golden retriever named Barkley who is loved deeply.
