Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1-2 years of billing experience preferred.

- Proficient knowledge of medical insurance providers and portals.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with Clearinghouses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
Responsibilities:
- Process all insurance account receivables accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and appeal all unpaid and denied claims.
- Investigate rejected claims.
- Perform and track claims status and corrections.
- Contact the insurance company to remediate claim issues and discrepancies in payment.
- Audit credit accounts for refund processing.
- Review and respond to EMR messages and tasks.
- Provide customer service to clients and patients.
- Receive and process phone payments and EFT payment plans.
- Review payment postings for accuracy assurance on claim corrections.
- Complete and review claim submissions.
- Submit data for the weekly and monthly statistical reporting.
- Report consistent and repetitive claim rejections to the Lead Patient Account Specialist.
- Understand, comply, and uphold all Code of Conduct standards and promote ethical behavior in the workplace.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
