I was initially exposed to the field of physical therapy years ago when my future wife tore her ACL. I accompanied her to her appointments in Toledo for weeks. Her physical therapist made a bigger impression on me than my wife. I decided this was the career for me. Less than one year after completing my Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami, FL, in 1999, I opened my own practice with a partner. Four years later, we opened a 2nd location. After 13 years of private practice in Monroe County, my partner retired. Our clinics joined a large, growing physical therapy company, and I spent eight years as an operations leader, helping to grow the company and mentoring therapists. Over time, I really missed the focus on relationships, strong commitment to the community, and overall culture of my previous practices. When Mike Altenburg (owner of multiple HealthQuest locations) introduced me to Bill and Stu (founders of HealthQuest), I immediately knew we shared the overall passion for our profession that I had been missing. Healthquest’s drive to deliver the highest quality of care to patients with the ideal patient experience truly stands out. I am thrilled to partner with HealthQuest to provide excellent care in North Toledo/SE Michigan with our first practice in this market.
