I became interested in the PT field after sustaining an ankle injury while dancing in 2021 and being sent to PT. I received PT at HealthQuest in Chesterfield in 2022 and found it very interesting how they helped me relieve pain and taught me better habits to prevent further injury throughout my body as I continued dancing. Ever since I finished PT, I haven’t had any ankle issues or pain. I eventually looked into a position as a Physical Therapy Technician at the Chesterfield clinic in August of 2023 and fell even more in love with PT and how strengthening more than just the injured area helped ensure better overall function. I decided to apply to Macomb’s PTA program in the summer of 2023 and began the program in the fall of 2024. I graduated in May of 2026 and immediately looked into a position with HealthQuest as I really enjoyed their exercise-based approach to rehabilitation. I have also been a dance teacher for 2 years now, through the studio I grew up at. I love to incorporate my physical therapy knowledge into my teaching. It was something I greatly valued from some of my teachers with backgrounds in physical therapy and exercise science, and I love being able to do the same for my students now. My parents and brother have also been a big support to me throughout my schooling and career.
