I have always loved playing sports and staying active; I even played four years of collegiate volleyball! During my athletic career, I faced a few injuries that resulted in me becoming fascinated with learning about different pathologies, how they occur, and how to prevent them. Through the many teams I was on, as well as the many volleyball teams that I have coached, I have formed great relationships with a number of athletic trainers and physical therapists over the years who were eager to share their knowledge with me, which further piqued my interest in the field of physical therapy.
While in undergrad, I decided to apply to work at Oxford HealthQuest as a physical therapy technician to get my foot in the door and see if pursuing a career in physical therapy was something I would enjoy, and I ended up loving it. Fast forward a few years and I am now back at HealthQuest Oxford, working as a Physical Therapist with some of the very people who sparked my passion for this field of work. I have a lot to be thankful for with having just graduated and beginning my career, and my fiancé and I have a lot to look forward to as we plan our wedding for this summer and are beginning the hunt to rescue a puppy in the near future.
