Travel Therapists
I initially became curious about Physical Therapy in high school, where I saw my teammates suffer an injury and then rehab to return. Around this same time I was learning about the human body and the biomechanics of athletics and became fascinated with how complex of a system the human body is and how it can adapt to new circumstances. After a couple of years in college I realized that I was going to change my major and began searching, I came across Physical Therapy and decided to shadow a PTA. I absolutely loved the patient care and rehab potential of patients and seeing them as they left compared to their initial evaluation.
After doing more research, I discovered other specialties besides orthopedics that physical therapy treated. At this time I met a patient that was going through neurological rehab. I saw how he made miraculous strides to be where he is at today. Meeting him helped me solidify that I wanted to make a change like that in someone’s life and Physical Therapy was the best way for me to do that.
I attended Baker College for my degree and was lucky enough to have a clinical rotation at HealthQuest. During my time in the clinic, I saw how close their team was. I saw how confidence in their co-workers rubbed off onto the patients, who may have been nervous about being in Physical Therapy and I wanted to be part of that.
