I was 14 years old when I tore my ACL while playing soccer, which gave me my first experience with physical therapy. As a young athlete, this was a devastating injury because my goal was to play collegiate soccer. While in therapy, I was fortunate to have a therapist who pushed me. Together we were able to get me back to the level that I was at prior to my injury and I did end up playing soccer at Oakland University, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in General studies/Exercise science. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I received a job as an exercise technician at the original HealthQuest Physical Therapy in Rochester Hills. After developing a passion for the rehabilitation process and helping people reach their own goals, I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in PT. After working as a technician for a year and a half, I took a new role as the Medical Fitness Director. I worked with patients post-therapy to continue their rehabilitation process, not only for their previous injury but to obtain and achieve new goals that they may have developed post-therapy. After refining my skills as a personal trainer, I continued my education at Baker College of Auburn Hills. I graduated in December 2016 as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and I am lucky enough to come back to HealthQuest and continue working with this awesome team. Everyone at HealthQuest Physical Therapy goes above and beyond in both patient care in the clinic and within the community and am glad to be a member of this team.
