While growing up, I knew that I wanted to have a job in the healthcare field. Throughout high school, I wanted to be a physician like my dad. During my first 2 years of undergrad, I decided to change my career direction to Physical Therapy. It all began when I was working a summer landscaping job for about 2 summers. My back started to hurt and it got to the point where the pain was really bad. I then was able to work with a Physical Therapist and was able to improve my pain and overall function. I loved how my PT worked one-on-one with me and knew so much about the musculoskeletal system. This was the point that changed my career path. I then worked as a PT tech in an outpatient setting for a couple of years.
I had my final clinical rotation with HealthQuest-Shelby and loved the atmosphere and working environment. Everyone truly cared about their patients and did their best to improve someone’s quality of life. I knew that this would be a great place for me to start my career.
I have much interest in strength & conditioning, how the body adapts and heals, and developing relationships with everyone I encounter. I take pride in working hard and striving for excellence in everything that I do. I believe that there is always room for learning and nurturing my growth as an individual.
