My strong interest in Physical Therapy started with my passion as an athlete in a vast variety of sports, ranging from recreational spike ball, and sand volleyball, all the way to a short career as a semi-professional football player, and just about everything in between.
During my time as a high school athlete, I met my wife, Gianna. She was passionate about basketball and hoped to go to College as a point guard, however, she suffered a full rupture of her ACL, and damage to her meniscus, requiring surgical repairs, and ultimately putting an end to her junior year of high school basketball season. Following her surgery, she attended physical therapy at the HealthQuest in Oxford. During her rehabilitation is when I developed a true love for both Physical Therapy and sports performance/biomechanics, along with a goal of someday working alongside the host of talented professionals I had the pleasure of meeting at HealthQuest.
Along my path to obtaining an education in Physical Therapy, I also pursued a certification as an ACE certified personal trainer and was blessed to have been mentored by amazing individuals that have, and continue to shape me into the best professional I can be. This has made me confident in my skills to guide my patients from our first encounter in the clinic all the way to performance training, and ultimately stepping back into the game with all the tools necessary to succeed.
Although my passion tends to lean toward sports rehabilitation and performance, I have grown to appreciate every form of orthopedic pathology in the entire spectrum of Physical Therapy, and this drives me as a professional to treat every individual with the highest level of care as if they were one of my own family members, and truly “Help People Live Life Well”
Current hobbies include: Spending time with my wife and three children, Claire, Aria, and Blaise, my parents, and brothers. I also continue to play many recreational sports, and probably spend too much time (if you ask my wife) playing competitive flag football!
