Growing up, I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field, but I was unsure of what field I wanted to pursue. All I knew was that I wanted to help people and I didn’t want to work your typical 9-5 desk job. I bounced around from different majors in the t 2 years of undergrad, still unsure of where I belonged. In my 2nd year of cross country and track at Saginaw Valley, I developed an injury that conventional treatment and work with the school’s athletic trainers wasn’t changing. I was introduced to a great Physical Therapist who was able to help me recover and teach me a lot about my body and myself in the process. From then on I was hooked and I dedicated my time and effort to get myself into this amazing field.
I was fortunate enough to be accepted into Oakland University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program where I had fantastic mentors, clinical instructors, classmates and patient experiences that helped shape and guide my passion for all things Physical Therapy.
Outside of Physical therapy, I am a sports and recreation enthusiast with passions of golf, running, hiking and biking. When able, I have helped with summer camps and coaching at local middle schools for their track and cross country teams where I have been able to use my knowledge to help increase performance and decrease instances of injuries.
I am grateful for the opportunity to work with HealthQuest and will work every day to continue expanding my knowledge and following my passion of helping others.
