I grew up in a small town in the thumb of Michigan. Growing up I was always very active in sports and participated in basketball, softball, tennis, and track. After graduating from high school in 2010, I attended Hillsdale College where I continued my basketball career for the next four years. During college, I had several injuries including tearing both of my ACLs. These knee injuries resulted in multiple surgeries and extensive physical therapy. During my own rehabilitation was when I fell in love with physical therapy and realized it was the career for me. I graduated from Hillsdale College in 2014 and was accepted into Oakland University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. During my clinicals at Oakland, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including acute care, an outpatient neurological setting and two outpatient orthopedic clinics including HealthQuest. During my clinical at HealthQuest, I was very impressed with their patient centered approach and the quality of care provided to patients and knew it was a perfect fit for me to start my career.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family including my husband, parents, two older sisters, grandma and my dog. I also really enjoy traveling and cooking.
