From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to work in the healthcare field but never knew specifically the area I wanted to specialize in. Growing up playing sports and being very active led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Michigan State University. An assignment during my freshman year allowed me to shadow a physical therapist, and I knew from that moment physical therapy was the perfect field for me. 

Shortly after graduating from Michigan State and being accepted into the Doctorate program at Oakland University, I began working at HealthQuest Physical Therapy as a physical therapist technician. Throughout the years, I worked my way up from staff physical therapist to clinical director to eventually owner. HealthQuest has truly been an extension of my family and I couldn’t be happier providing patients with the best quality care possible.   

Throughout my career, I have had the experience of treating a wide variety of patients. While working at an orthopedic spine clinic, I gained increased knowledge of cervical and lumbar issues that occur both pre-and post-operatively. With my knowledge of athletic injuries, combined with my experience/certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, I can use evidence-based clinical models to address sports-related injuries and movement dysfunction.  I have had experience working with patients with complex neurological issues such as Parkinson’s Disease and am a certified LSVT BIG therapist. I have been able to combine all these experiences to become a knowledgeable and compassionate asset to the HealthQuest team.
