Growing up in Ortonville, sports, exercise, and competition have always been a fabric of who I am. I attended Brandon High School where I played sports year-round and was where I first became interested in the idea of Physical Therapy. After graduating from high school, I continued my sport aspirations with a scholarship to play collegiate soccer. My time playing soccer was ultimately cut short after two years with a traumatic knee injury that resulted in surgical repairs and years of rehabilitation. It was at this defining moment where Physical Therapy flourished into a passion and from my own experiences, I learned the effect injury has on the individual, both physically and mentally.
I transferred to Oakland University to complete my undergraduate degree and started my journey with HealthQuest. I began a PT tech, learning the ropes of what a PT was really about. Once I was accepted into the Doctorate of physical therapy program at Oakland University, I transitioned to FitnessQuest as a personal trainer where I focused on injury risk assessments and corrective training to minimize injuries with athletes and gym members. George and Steve, the co-owners of HealthQuest, gave me the foundation, mentorship, and experiences to grow my skills in understanding body mechanics, assessment, and sport-specific rehabilitation have grown and aided me as a clinician. HealthQuest provides the perfect environment for me to treat each of my patients as a whole.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors. You will usually find me wading a river fly fishing, hiking a backcountry trail at a national park, or playing cornhole with friends.
